This webinar will be helpful to school counselors because it will provide an overview of the Eligibility Center and more specifically the High School Review team who is responsible for reviewing schools, programs and courses. We will also discuss the initial-eligibility requirements so school counselors are aware of them and can share them with their student-athletes. In addition, we will briefly discuss nontraditional programs and the core course submission process. Finally, we will discuss best practices for school counselors when working with student-athletes who are interested in participating at the collegiate level. Overall, school counselors will walk away with a greater understanding of NCAA Eligibility Center processes and things to keep in mind when working with student-athletes. Webinar is eligible for 1.5 clock hours. Webinar will also be accessible to those unable to attend for clock hours for viewing the recording and completing a brief assessment and evaluation.
Clock hours are free for WSCA members and $2 per clock hour for non-members.
